This course provides the competence in interface management for the MME in the EPC network. It also covers in detail the configuration procedure for integrating the interfaces of the MME.

После окончания курса слушатели смогут:

• Понимать структуру EPC и функции элементов
• Объяснять взаимосвязь SGSN-MME c сетевыми элементами EPC
• Объяснять интерфейсы SGSN-MME.
• Объяснять процессы доступа оборудования пользователя к сети
• Объяснять концепции: VPN, IP-адресации, IP интерфейсов, пакетных фильтров IP в SGSN-MME.
• Объяснять базовую конфигурацию SGSN-MME
• Объяснять концепции S1-MME и S1-U в интерфейсе S1
• Объяснять процедуры S1-AP и NAS.
• Объяснять использование SCTP в интерфейсе S1-MME
• Конфигурировать и проверять интерфейс S1-MME к узлу eNode.
• Представлять функции интерфейса S6a между SGSN-MME и HSS
• Конфигурировать таблицу анализа IMSI номеров в SGSN-MME
• Представлять протокол DIAMETER и уметь его конфигурировать
• Конфигурировать интерфейс S6a
• Конфигурировать интерфейсы S11 и Gom
• Конфигурировать DNS и NTP

On completion of this course the participants will be able to:

• Explain on overview level the EPC Network and its elements
• Explain EPC network and SGSN-MME relations and the technology behind the
• nodes.
• List and explain the different interfaces involved in the SGSN-MME.
• Discuss the process for a User Equipment accessing and using the network.
• Describe the concepts of internal VPNs, IP service addresses, IP interfaces, IP
• Packet Filters in SGSN-MME.
• Describe the basic configuration of SGSN-MME
• Provide student with necessary knowledge to configure and handle S1-MME
• Interface.
• Explain the concept of the Control Plane (S1-MME) and User Plane (S1-U) in S1
• interface.
• Explain the S1-AP and NAS procedures.
• Describe the SCTP usage in S1-MME interface.
• Configure and verify S1-MME interface towards the eNodeB.
• Provide student with an overview of the use and functions of the S6a interface
• connecting SGSN-MME to HSS.
• Configure IMSI Series Analysis tables in SGSN-MME.
• Discuss the DIAMETER protocol and DIAMETER configuration.
• Configure the S6a Interface.
• Configure the S11 and Gom Interface.
• Provide student with information about how to configure Domain Name Service and Network Time Protocol in SGSN-MME.
